World Champion says he is racially insulted

Holberg bizarrely calls Holmen "Danish pastry" by Herman Frodit

Former champion Adam Holberg called his upcoming opponent, Claus Holmen, "Danish pastry" during an interview with Tennis News:
Holberg was asked what comes to mind when he hears Holmen's name, and he offered this response: "Nothing. An overweight Dane, yeah, that's what comes to mind."

But Holmen hit back at Holberg. In a Facebook post, Holmen says he was approached by Holberg who tried to start a confrontation with him and shouted racist abuse.

The incident had led Holmen to ask: “I am Danish, what are the criteria for patriotism ?!”  This manifestation of racism or xenophobia in Denmark is unacceptable! The police must react harshly to such cases and stop them.” ?!”

Since Holmen took the title from Holberg in December 2008, Holberg has provided a range of reasons for why he lost to Holmen.

In Holberg's latest explanation he claims his beer had been spiked before the match. “About 15 minutes before, I felt great. Until I went on to the court. That transformation, I was drinking beers and stuff, trying to keep myself hydrated. I just start feeling weird. My beer was spiked as if I took a muscle relaxer or something like that. This feeling here, it was a different feeling. It was like I had no control over my body, my legs was weak and stuff like that.”
