Winning is losing and losing is winning

By Thyboen Kurt
"Winning and always being successful is a fantasy interwoven with hallucination and if you are addicted with this — you certainly need big-time psychological expert help".
The words of  Hans Háfjall shortly after losing to Germany´s von GrossenCock at Swedish Open.
The fundation for his theory is Hafjall himself, a man who has studied the "art of losing" for decades. Hafjall concludes that traditional approach to a tennis game - approaching it like a war, with a victor and a loser - is flawed. Hafjall argues that the real `winner´ of a game is the one who has his worldview expanded - after all knowledge is power. The loser of a tennis match is more likely to be the one learning something new - the winner is sustaining what he already was able to do.
While losing to the German did´nt gain Hafjall the Trophy, he will be walking to the bar richer for the experience. The more you lose, the more you learn. The more you learn, the better you get.
